Answers for capturing, creating, protecting, and recovering your Daily Vlogs.

Getting started

Daily Vlog shows its welcome flow before asking for access. You can continue with setup or choose Explore First to look around before deciding.

When you are ready, open Camera, choose a 2, 5, or 10 second duration, and record a moment. Create a Vlog from the clips you want to keep.

Permissions
  • Camera and microphone: requested only when you open Camera, for video and sound capture.
  • Approximate location: optional and used while the app is open to add a short place label. Daily Vlog does not keep raw coordinates.
  • Photos: add-only access is used only when you choose to save an exported Vlog.

You can change permissions in iOS Settings at any time.

iCloud protection

iCloud protection is optional. When enabled, Daily Vlog can copy completed-day original clips and a small manifest into your own iCloud Drive. The local copy remains until you explicitly choose to free space.

Mizuno.app does not operate a cloud storage service for Daily Vlog and cannot access your iCloud files.

Lock Screen capture

A Lock Screen camera control can capture while your iPhone is locked. For privacy, the clip is imported into Daily Vlog only after you unlock. The circular widget opens Daily Vlog after authentication.

If an interrupted session is still retained, check Storage & Recovery in the app.

Export and Photos

Export starts only when you ask. Saving to Photos uses add-only access. A high-resolution 4K export may need Daily Vlog to remain in the foreground on devices that cannot complete the GPU work in the background.

If another app has trouble with HDR, create an SDR sharing copy from Daily Vlog and share that version.

Storage and recovery

Open Settings → Storage & Recovery to inspect local and protected items, resume retained work, and manage space. Removing a local copy after confirmed iCloud protection is different from permanently deleting a Vlog or its source material; review the confirmation message before continuing.
